M K Handicraft

M K Handicraft is located out on Dhapdhapi Road, right near the Bishalakhi Tala area and the Gopalpura Byepass. It’s a spot that sees a lot of transit, so there is always a bit of a breeze and some noise from the passing trucks. We have our workshop set up here, and it’s usually quite full of materials and projects in different stages. It’s not the cleanest place you’ll ever see, as we are always making things. There are wood shavings or bits of fabric or other materials lying around depending on what we are working on that day. We’ve been at this Gopalpura Byepass location for quite a while now. Most people find us because they are heading along the road and see our sign. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy descriptions of what we do. It’s just us, the people who actually make the stuff. We work with our hands and spend most of the daylight hours in the shop. Sometimes we lose track of time when a project is going well. The Bishalakhi Tala area is a good place for us to be based. It’s got a bit of a local feel despite the busy road. M K Handicraft is just a small operation with a few people who like making things. We don't have a big corporate structure, just a small workshop where we do our daily work.
