Shilpi Arts is located at B 19 in New Colony, just off M. I. Road. It’s a central spot, so there is always a lot of traffic and people walking by. The shop is filled with various art pieces and items we’ve gathered or made. It’s not the biggest space, so things are tucked into every corner. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but it usually ends up looking a bit crowded. That’s just the nature of an art shop. The walls are covered in different things. We spend our time dusting the shelves and talking to people who wander in from M. I. Road. Some days are very busy and others are quite slow. We’ve been in New Colony for a good while now. Most people around here know the B 19 address. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who look after the place. We aren't really into big sales pitches. We just let the items speak for themselves. The light from the front window is nice in the morning. By the afternoon, we have to turn on the overhead bulbs. It’s a practical little shop for anyone interested in artsy stuff. We just show up every morning, open the doors, and see who stops by. It’s a steady routine. Nothing too flashy, just a regular part of the neighborhood where we work every day.
