Nikhaar Creation

Our shop is inside Saraogi Mension on M. I. Road, which is one of the busiest streets in Jaipur. If you’ve ever been to this area, you know how it is—tourists everywhere, traffic moving slowly, and lots of people looking for something to buy. Nikhaar Creation is at number 65 inside the building. The mansion itself is an old place with a lot of character and plenty of other shops inside. We have a modest space where we keep our collections. It’s not one of those high-end boutiques where everything is behind glass. Instead, we have things out where people can touch the fabric and see the colors for themselves. Sometimes the hallways of the mansion get a bit dark, but our shop is bright enough. We spend a lot of time talking to customers and showing them different pieces. On hot afternoons, the thick stone walls of the building keep it a bit cooler than the street outside. We have a small corner for tea and water because it gets dry in Jaipur. We don’t use fancy sales talk. We just show what we have and let the work speak for itself. It’s a straightforward business. Most of our neighbors in the building have been here for years, so it feels like a small community. We just open up in the morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down.
