Loveli Hair Derasser

Loveli Hair Derasser is situated on Hatwada Road in the Jaipur City area. We are specifically located in the Kachi Basti, which is a very crowded and lively neighborhood. The streets here are narrow and full of life, with kids playing and people selling things from small carts. Our shop is just a small room tucked away in this busy area. It’s not very easy to find if you don't live around here, but the locals all know where we are. We have two chairs and a lot of different combs and scissors. The shop stays quite warm in the summer, so we keep the door open to catch whatever breeze there is. There is always the sound of people talking outside. We do mostly simple haircuts and shaves for the men who live in the Basti. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements. Word of mouth is how people know about us. Sometimes we have to use a torch if the power goes out, which happens sometimes. It’s a very humble place to work. We don't charge much because we know people here don't have a lot of extra money. It’s just about providing a service to the neighbors and making enough to get by. We take pride in just doing a normal job every day. The shop feels like a small part of the community’s heart and soul.
