Lokesh Salon Parlour

Lokesh Salon Parlour is tucked away on Swran Path in the Mansarovar area. It’s at 30/10/04 if you’re looking for the exact house number. We’re in a residential part of Jaipur, so it’s usually a bit quieter than the main markets. I’ve been cutting hair here for years now. I started small and just stayed that way because it suits me. It’s a simple shop. I have a couple of chairs and the tools I’ve used forever. Men from around the block come in for their regular trim or a shave. We don’t have air conditioning that works all the time, but we have a good ceiling fan that keeps things moving. The floor is tile and easy to sweep up. I like the routine of it. Open the shutters in the morning, get the water ready, and wait for the first customer. Mansarovar is a big place, but this little corner feels like home. My customers aren't looking for anything fancy. They just want a neat haircut and maybe a bit of a head massage if they have time. I don't charge much because I know my neighbors. We talk about sports or the local politics mostly. It’s a straightforward business. No fancy lights or music, just the sound of scissors and the street outside. It’s a good way to make a living and I plan to keep doing it right here on Swran Path.
