Laxmi Hair Saloon

Laxmi Hair Saloon is located on Sheopur Road in Pratap Nagar. We are right opposite the Gowsala, so you can often hear the cows or see people going there to give feed. It’s a very local part of Jaipur. I’ve been working here for a long time. The shop isn't very big, but we make the most of the space we have. I have a couple of chairs and a big mirror that covers most of one wall. Pratap Nagar has become much busier lately, and Sheopur Road always has people moving about. I usually keep the door open to let some air in, even if it gets a bit dusty. I spend my days cutting hair and doing shaves for the men around here. Some of them have been coming to me since they were kids, and now they bring their own sons. It makes me feel old, but it’s nice to see. We don't have any of those modern machines or expensive treatments. It’s just old-fashioned hair cutting with scissors and a steady hand. I don't really have a big story to tell. I just wake up, come to the shop, and do my best for whoever sits in my chair. By the time I close up at night, I’m tired, but it’s a good kind of tired. That’s just how it is at Laxmi Hair Saloon. We aren't fancy, just a part of the daily life on Sheopur Road.
