Laxmi Hair Dresser

Laxmi Hair Dresser is in the Main Market area of Chaksu. We are on Laviyo Ki Gali, which is in Ward No.04, right behind the Chaksu Tehsil building. It is a very local neighborhood and everyone knows everyone else. The shop is quite small and simple, with just the essential tools we need for our work. We have a couple of chairs and some mirrors that have seen better days. The lane outside is narrow, and you often see people on their way to the Tehsil office. We open up the shop every morning and start by sweeping the floor. It is a quiet place most of the time, except for the sounds of the market. On the days when there is a local fair or a big market day, the street gets very busy and we have people waiting out the door. We have a small bench for them to sit on. Most of our customers are farmers or people who work in the local government offices. We talk about the rain and the price of things while we work. The shop gets a bit dark in the evenings, so we have a few tube lights to keep things bright. We’ve been in this same spot for many years and have built a good relationship with the people here. It is a steady job and we like the routine of the market life.
