Lashkari Handicraft

You can find us at 20 Chaura Rasta, right in Dhamani Market. This part of the city is always packed, and our shop is nestled among many others. At Lashkari Handicraft, we deal with all sorts of small handmade items. The shop itself is quite small, so we have to use every inch of wall space to display what we have. It’s a bit of a maze inside with boxes tucked under tables and items hanging from the ceiling. Most of our day is spent talking to people who wander in while they are shopping in the market. Chaura Rasta is a famous spot, so we see all kinds of people. We spend a lot of time dusting off the shelves because the street dust has a way of getting into everything. It’s a family-run kind of feel here, even if we aren't all related. We drink a lot of tea and wait for the busy afternoon rush. Dhamani Market has its own rhythm, and we’ve been part of it for long enough to know when it’s going to be a slow day or a crazy one. We don’t do any big marketing; we just rely on people seeing the shop as they walk past. It’s a simple life, surrounded by crafts and the noise of the market outside. We just try to keep things organized and help anyone who is looking for something specific. It gets very busy on weekends here.
