We run Koolwal Handicraft near the Jamna Dairy in Sodala. The address is 44 Jaipur G P O, but most people just find us by the dairy landmark. It’s a busy little corner of Jaipur. We deal with all sorts of local crafts and handmade items. The shop is usually full of boxes and things waiting to be sent out to different cities. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a working space where things get made, sorted, and packed. We have been doing this for a long time now. Sometimes the wood smells strong, or there’s a bit of dust from the carving work, but we like it that way. We work with local artisans from the villages. It’s not about mass-produced stuff you see in big malls. Everything has its own look and feel. We aren’t very great at the internet side of things, but we know our products inside and out. If someone comes in, we just show them what we have on the shelves. It’s a bit messy sometimes. We might be in the middle of packing a large order for overseas or just helping a neighbor find a small gift. Sodala is a good place for a business like ours because people know where to find us. We don't do much advertising at all. The word just gets around by itself. It’s hard work, and the hours can be long, but it’s what we do.
