Khatri Handicrafts

We have our workshop and shop at 12/1-A on Govind Marg in Adarsh Nagar. It’s a place where we keep various handcrafted items, mostly things made by local artisans we’ve known for a long time. The space is filled with all sorts of things, from small wooden pieces to textiles and decorative items. It’s not like those big polished showrooms you see in the malls. Our shelves are made of simple wood and things are often tucked into corners where you have to look twice to see them. We spend our time checking over the pieces that come in and talking to customers who are looking for something a bit different. Adarsh Nagar is a nice area, and we get a good mix of people walking by. Sometimes we are busy packing things up for people to take home as gifts. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of sales people. It’s just us and the items we have on display. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from all the packaging materials, but we try to keep it tidy. We enjoy seeing the work that people can do with their hands. It’s a slow-paced business, and we like it that way. If you’re ever walking down Govind Marg, you can stop in and see what’s currently on the shelves. There’s usually something new to look at every few weeks.
