Jay Kirti

You will find us over at No. 52 on Queens Road, right in the Green Park area of Khatipura. It is a nice enough spot, though parking can be a real headache on the weekends when everyone is out. The shop has been here for a bit, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a lot over the seasons. Inside Jay Kirti, things are usually a bit cluttered because we are always getting new shipments in and haven't quite found the right place for everything yet. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We spend a lot of time just unpacking boxes and trying to keep the dust off the items. The floor is tile and it’s a bit cracked near the entrance, but nobody seems to mind. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first customers to arrive. Some days are really quiet and we just sit around drinking tea and talking about the news or the weather. Other days, it feels like everyone in Khatipura decided to come in at the same time. We don’t use any complicated systems for our work. It is mostly just notebooks and memory. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, maybe something a bit brighter than this old beige. But for now, it works for us and our visitors. We just keep things moving and stay helpful.
