You can find Khandelwal Polymers over at VKIA 25. Being in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area means we are surrounded by big factories and heavy trucks all day long. We work with polymer materials, which involves a lot of heat and some pretty big machinery. The factory floor is loud, so we usually have to shout to be heard over the grinders and the extruders. It’s a practical place, focused on getting the production numbers right. We don't have a fancy office with leather chairs; our desk is usually covered in samples and order sheets. The workers here have been with us for years, and they know the machines better than anyone. We often work late into the night when we have a big order to finish, and the tea stall nearby is our main source of energy. The air is often filled with the smell of warm plastic, which is just part of the environment. We aren't interested in making things look pretty for a website; we just care if the product is solid and meets the specs the customer asked for. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend half the day fixing a motor, but that’s just how it goes in manufacturing. We stay busy, we keep the machines running, and we try to do a decent job every day. It’s a long commute for some of us, but this is where the work is.
