Kaveri Fashions P. Ltd.

We are located in the Sitapura Industrial Area, right across from the S.B.B.J. bank. If you have ever been to this part of Jaipur, you know it gets incredibly hot during the summer months. Our building at F-127 is not anything special to look at from the outside. It is just a functional space for Kaveri Fashions to operate. We have machines running and people moving around all day long. It gets quite noisy in here. You have to shout a bit sometimes to be heard over the hum of the equipment. We keep a cooler going, but it only does so much when the sun is really beating down. Most of the staff has been together for many years now. We know each other's habits and who takes their tea with too much sugar. The work is constant. We have piles of fabric that need cutting and sewing. It is not like a fashion show in here. It is much more like a workshop or a small factory. We have a small office area where we handle the accounts and the paperwork, but most of the action happens on the floor. Things get messy with threads everywhere and scraps of cloth on the ground. We clean up at the end of the shift, but by noon the next day, it looks exactly the same again. We just focus on getting the orders ready. There isn't any fancy talk here.
