Kalyan Carft

Kalyan Carft is tucked into a bit of a tight spot in Johari Bazar. We are right between Shop No. 128 and 129, and the Chapawat Temple is very close by. If you know the bazaar, you know it is always packed with people and there is a lot of noise from the shoppers and the vendors. It is a very lively place to be every single day. Our shop isn't very wide but it goes back a bit. We have to be very careful with how we use the space because it gets full very quickly. The temple being right there means we hear the bells and the prayers throughout the day which is actually quite nice. Johari Bazar is a maze of streets and we have been in this specific spot for a long time now. The walls have seen a lot of history and the floors are a bit worn down from all the foot traffic. We don't really bother with making the place look like a modern store. It feels more like a workshop where you can see the actual work being done. Sometimes it is a bit of a struggle to get deliveries in through the crowds, but we make it work. It's just the reality of being in such a busy market. We like the bustle of it all and wouldn't really want to be anywhere else. We just keep the lights on and help the people who find their way to our door.
