If you go down Kathi Pura Road in Jhotwara, you will find us at A-8 Sahkar Nagar. We are right near the Brij Bal Mandir School, so every afternoon we hear the kids shouting when they get out of class. Kalakriti Handicrafts Pvt Ltd has been in this spot for a while. The building isn't brand new, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We have different rooms for different types of work. One room might be full of people painting, while another is where we keep all the finished items ready to be shipped out. It gets quite dusty because of all the materials we use. We don't have any formal dress codes or fancy reception areas. Most of the time, the boss is just wearing regular clothes and helping move boxes around like everyone else. The road outside is a bit bumpy, and sometimes the electricity goes out, which is annoying when we are trying to get things done. We just use the generator and keep moving. We have a lot of shelves filled with stuff we’ve made over the months. It’s a bit of a maze inside if you don’t know where you’re going. People from the neighborhood know us well. We aren’t trying to be some big global company, just a local place making things and trying to keep everything organized.
