You can find Kala Sangam Art & Craft Pvt Ltd on MI Road at Park Street, inside the Sethi Sadan building. This part of Jaipur is always moving, and we are right in the thick of it. Our space is more of a practical setup than a fancy gallery. We have boxes stacked in corners and shelves full of various items we’ve gathered. Sethi Sadan is an older building, so it has that lived-in feel which I think suits us quite well. We aren’t really interested in having a polished, corporate look. Most of us here just wear regular clothes and spend the day dealing with suppliers and looking at new pieces. It can get a bit hectic when a new delivery arrives and we have to find space for everything. We’ve been at this address for a long time, so we’ve seen the shops around us change many times. The tea seller downstairs knows exactly how we like our morning chai. We don't spend money on big ads or try to sound more important than we are. We’re just a local company that enjoys being around art and crafts. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the traffic outside. We just take it as it comes. It’s a bit of a messy business sometimes, but we like it that way. Most people who visit us say it feels like a real workshop.
