Annpurna Fashions

We have been sitting here at No. 50-51 on 2nd Cross for quite a while now. Johri Baazar is always loud and crowded, especially down Mab Ka Rasta where our shop is located. Most days we are just busy unpacking bundles and showing people what came in. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons but the ceiling fans keep things moving. We don't really do much fancy talk here. If you walk past the jewelry shops and turn into the lane, you’ll find us easily. There is always tea being passed around and someone usually has the radio on in the back. My nephew helps with the stock now because there is a lot to carry up and down. We keep the shelves stacked high with different fabrics and ready pieces. Sometimes the lights flicker when the main line has trouble, but we just keep working. It is a small space but it fits everything we need to do. People from the neighborhood know us by name and we know which colors they like. We aren't a big corporation or anything like that. Just a local spot where we try to get the work done right every day. The floor is a bit old and the walls could use some paint, but the clothes are good and the customers don't seem to mind the clutter much. Every morning starts with the same routine of opening the locks and getting the place ready.
