Our business is based in Balaji Tower-V, specifically at G-59 in the Mahal Yojana area of Jagatpura. Jagatpura has grown a lot lately, and it feels a bit different from the older parts of Jaipur. At Jkb Tvastra, we spend our days surrounded by all kinds of handicrafts. The office is often a bit of a jumble because we keep so many samples around to show people. It’s not a high-tech setup by any means. We still use paper notebooks for a lot of our daily tasks even though we have a computer in the corner. We spend a lot of time talking to the artisans who make the goods. They come in from the nearby villages with their work, and we sit down with them to go over the details. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we aren't in a huge rush. We drink a lot of tea while we look at the designs. When an export order comes in, the whole place turns into a packing zone. You’ll hear the sound of bubble wrap and cardboard boxes being taped up for hours. Most of us live nearby, so we usually ride our bikes or scooters to work. We don’t wear suits or have formal meetings. We just sit around the main table and figure out what needs to be done for the day. It’s a practical way to run things, and it keeps us close to the crafts we handle.
