Jitendra Handicrafts is at S.No. 206, Near Aggersen Market, Johari Bazar. Being located in Johari Bazar means it’s always very hectic. There are people everywhere and a lot of shouting from the street vendors outside. Our shop is just a small unit in a long row of similar businesses. We’ve been here since my father's time, many years ago. We keep the place packed with inventory from floor to ceiling. There’s barely enough room for two people to stand comfortably inside sometimes. We focus on small items that people can carry easily in their bags. I spend most of my day sitting on a small wooden stool behind the counter. My son helps out when he can, but usually, it’s just me here. The walls are a bit stained from the monsoon rains last year, but we haven't got around to painting them yet. We use old light fixtures that flicker sometimes when the power is low. It’s a real old-school shop. We don't do any online selling or use social media. If someone wants something, they come to the bazaar and find us. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. We trade stories and tea while we wait for customers to come in. It’s a tough way to make a living, but it’s what we know best.
