Jindal Medicals & General Store

Running this place at Ghat Gate Topkhana Hazuri keeps us busy from morning until late at night. It’s a mix of a pharmacy and a general store, so we see all sorts of people coming through the door. Some are looking for their regular medicine, and others just need a bar of soap or some laundry powder. The shop isn’t huge, and we have boxes stacked up in the back because there’s never enough shelf space for everything we want to keep. Being near the gate means there is always noise from the street, bikes honking and people shouting, but you get used to it after a few years. My family has been doing this for a long time. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights, just the basic stuff people need for their daily lives. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the road work outside, so we are always wiping down the glass counters. We know most of the people who live in the neighborhood. They stop by to chat while they wait for us to find their items. It’s a simple way to earn a living, really. If a customer needs something we don't have, we try to get it from the distributor the next day. It’s just about being there when the neighbors need something, whether it’s a bandage or a bottle of shampoo.
