J.C. Antiques & Crafts

Our place is out in the Sitapura Industrial Area, specifically at G-165-167. It’s a pretty large spot because we need the room for all the crafts and older-looking pieces we handle. The sun hits the metal roof in the afternoons, and it can get really warm inside, so we keep the big fans running as much as possible. J.C. Antiques & Crafts has a lot of different sections for different types of work. There is always a layer of sawdust on the floor no matter how much we sweep. It’s just part of the job. We have containers coming in and out quite often, and that usually means a long day of heavy lifting for everyone. I usually keep the keys and the main logbook near the front entrance. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s more of a working warehouse where everything is stored until it’s time for it to go. Sometimes you find something in a corner that’s been there for months, and you have to remember where it was supposed to go. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, but we know where most things are. We just keep our heads down and get through the list of tasks for the day. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do here in Sitapura, and it keeps us busy from morning till evening.
