Jayshree Periwal High School

Being out here in Chitrakoot, right next to the stadium, gives the school a lot of space. We are at 3, Chitrakoot Scheme, near Ajmer Road in Jaipur, zip code 302006. It’s a big campus, so there’s always a lot of walking involved for everyone. I usually start my day by checking the gates and seeing how the traffic is looking. Ajmer Road is always packed with cars and buses, so getting here can be a bit of a challenge if you don’t leave early enough. Once you’re inside the gates of Jayshree Periwal High School, it feels a bit more open than the crowded streets outside. We have a lot of students, so the noise level is always high from the morning until the afternoon. It’s not a quiet place by any means. We spend a lot of time just coordinating between the different buildings. Someone is always looking for a missing notebook or trying to organize a sports event at the stadium next door. It’s a busy life for the staff. We don’t have a fancy mission statement painted on every single wall. We just try to keep the schedules running on time. The staff room is usually a mess of papers, half-eaten snacks, and tea cups, which is how we like it. It feels like a real workplace. We have a lot of ground to cover every day, and by the end of it, everyone is ready to beat the Ajmer Road traffic.
