D N Public Senior Secondary School sits right on Ajmer Rd here in Jaipur. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there is always the sound of traffic in the background while we are in the office. We have been here for a while, seeing the students grow up from small kids into young adults. The building is a solid structure that handles the Jaipur heat okay, though we rely on the coolers a lot during the summer months. Our address in the 302021 zip code is easy for most people to find since it’s a main route. Inside, the hallways are usually lined with notices about upcoming exams or holiday schedules. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s mostly just desks, chalkboards, and the sound of teachers explaining math or history. Staff usually take their tea breaks together in the small room near the entrance. Sometimes the gate gets stuck, or we have to wait for a delivery truck to move so the buses can get out. That is just how things work on a daily basis. We focus on getting the students through their senior secondary years without making things too complicated. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed once you get past the noise of the main road. Most people in this part of Jaipur know where we are located. We just keep doing what we do every morning when the sun comes up.
