Javed Hair Salon

Javed Hair Salon is located on Dabla Road in Kotputli. It’s a busy street and we have been here for a good while. Kotputli is the kind of place where everyone knows someone who knows you. Our shop on Dabla Road is where a lot of the local guys come to get a haircut and hear the latest news. It’s a straightforward salon. We have the chairs lined up against the wall and a bench for people to wait on. Usually, there is a pile of newspapers on the table that are a few days old, but people read them anyway. We use the same kind of scissors and razors that have been used for years because they work. The shop is not very large, but we make it work even when it’s crowded on a Sunday morning. You can hear the sounds of the street outside, the motorbikes and the people shouting to each other across the road. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle the work. It gets hot in the summer, but we have a good ceiling fan that keeps the air moving. It’s just a normal part of the Dabla Road community. We open the shutters early in the morning and stay until the last customer is done for the day.
