Jas Handicraft Accessories

We spend most of our time here on Galta Road in Bagaru working with small things. The shop is filled with various handicraft accessories that people use for their projects or clothing. It gets pretty dusty out here because of the road, but we keep things moving inside. There are piles of metal pieces, beads, and cloth bits scattered on the tables. Some days are quieter than others depending on how many people are coming through Bagaru. We started this because we know the local styles and what the makers around here need for their work. It is not a fancy setup by any means. The walls could use some paint and the fans make a bit of noise when they are on full speed. Usually, there are three or four of us sitting around sorting through stock or packing things up for someone who stopped by. You can hear the traffic outside and the people walking toward the temples nearby. It is just a normal workspace where we handle the small parts that go into bigger handmade items. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood or small business owners from other parts of Jaipur. We just keep the inventory ready and try to stay organized enough to find what is needed. We have bins full of different colored threads and some heavy metal stamps for printing. It is just how things are in Bagaru.
