We are located over at D- 69/ A Jln Marg. It’s pretty close to the Teenmurti Circle, which makes it easy for folks to point us out. Jaipur Saree Kendra Pvt. Ltd. is basically just a big room filled with stacks of fabric. We’ve got sarees everywhere you look. Some are folded on the counters and others are still in their boxes waiting to be sorted. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized. The floors get dusty because of the wind coming off the road, so we’re always sweeping. It’s a busy area of Jaipur, so there’s always something happening outside. We don't have any flashy displays or anything like that. It’s just us and the sarees. Most days are spent helping people find a specific color or pattern they have in mind. Sometimes it takes a while because we have so much stuff. We usually have a few people working here at once. We talk about our families and the weather while we work. It’s a comfortable enough place to spend the day. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s usually when we take a break. Being near the circle means we hear the traffic all day long. It's just how life is here. We focus on the task at hand and try to keep things simple. It’s just a regular shop doing its thing. We’ve been here for years and we know the local rhythm well enough.
