Jaipur Mobiles

If you walk down Kisan Marg in Barkat Nagar, you will find our shop, Jaipur Mobiles. It is tucked between a tea stall and a clothing store. I spend most of my day sitting behind the glass counter looking at screens. It is a small space, so it gets a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once. We started this because I always liked taking things apart to see how they worked. Now, I spend a lot of time cleaning dust out of charging ports and trying to explain why a battery isn't holding a charge anymore. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise that I keep meaning to fix but never get around to. Barkat Nagar is a busy area, especially in the evenings when everyone is out buying groceries. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat or ask for the time. We don't have any flashy signs or big lights. Just the basic stuff you need for your phone. My younger brother comes in after his college classes to help with the customers. We keep the spare parts in little plastic bins under the counter. It’s nothing special, just a regular mobile shop where we try to get things done without too much fuss. Every day is pretty much the same, but we like the routine of it. We plan to stay here for a long time because the locality is good and people are friendly.
