Jaipur Glass & Potteries

Our shop is right on Tonk Road, a place that stays busy from morning until late at night. At Jaipur Glass & Potteries, we deal with exactly what the name suggests. It is a bit of a crowded space because glass and pottery take up a lot of room and you have to be careful where you step. We have crates stacked up in the corners and shelves that are probably a bit too full. The dust from the road settles on everything, so we are constantly wiping down the display pieces. It is a bit of an old-school way of doing things here. We don't have a computer system that tracks every single movement; a lot of it is still done with notebooks and pens. Working with glass means we have to deal with the occasional breakage, which is always a bit of a bummer. The pottery side of things is a bit sturdier but still requires a lot of hauling and moving. We spend our days talking to people who stop by and helping them find something that isn't chipped or cracked. It's a simple life on a busy road. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a spot where you can find some decent glasswork and clay pots without a lot of hassle. We just try to keep things organized enough so we can find what we need when someone asks for it.
