Indira Bazar is a pretty busy place to have a shop, but we’ve been here at F-69 for quite a while now. Jai Mata Di Mobiles isn't some big flashy store you see in a mall. It is just a regular shop where we keep a lot of different phone parts and some new sets on the shelves. Most days, I get here around ten in the morning and start by cleaning the dust off the glass counters. It is a lot of work because the road outside is always full of traffic. People walk in with cracked screens or phones that just won't turn on. I spend most of my time looking through a magnifying glass trying to fix small circuit boards. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once, but we manage. We don’t have a fancy waiting area or anything like that. There are just a couple of plastic stools if someone needs to sit while their battery finishes charging. The neighborhood knows us pretty well. We have some regulars who just stop by to say hello or ask about the latest models. I try to keep things simple here. If a phone can be fixed, I tell them. If it is a waste of money, I say that too. It is just a normal day-to-day business for us in the heart of the bazar.
