Ajanta Dyeing & Tent Works

Ajanta Dyeing & Tent Works is located right on Khatipura Road. It's a busy spot with lots of vehicles passing by all day long. We spend most of our time dealing with fabrics and big tents. If there is a festival or a wedding coming up, things get really hectic around here. We have to make sure all the poles and the cloth are in good shape. The dyeing part of the business is quite manual. We use large vats and there is always steam and the smell of different dyes in the air. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is hot outside, but we’ve been doing it for a long time. The shop isn't very modern looking, it’s more of a workshop where things actually get built and fixed. Sometimes we are out on site setting things up, so the shop might feel a bit empty, but there’s usually someone around. Khatipura Road is a good place to be because everyone knows where it is. We don't use any fancy machinery for the tents, it’s mostly just hands-on labor and knowing how to tie things correctly so they don't fall down. People in the area know us for being straightforward. We don't have a big website or anything, we just focus on the work right in front of us. It’s a bit messy with all the scraps of fabric and ropes lying around, but we know where everything is.
