Jagdish Men Parlour

Our shop is number two in A Block over in Vaishali Nagar. Being near Nursery Circle means there is always something going on outside. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have the usual stuff, some old chairs that have seen a lot of use and a bench for people to wait on. Jaipur summers are tough, so the fan is always running. You can hear it humming in the background while the clippers are going. We keep some old newspapers on the table but most people just look at their phones now. Jagdish Men Parlour has been here for a bit, so we know the guys who live in these apartments. They come in for a shave or a haircut on their way to the market. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, but by Saturday afternoon, it’s a bit of a mess with all the hair. We don’t have a big sign, just enough so people find us. Sometimes kids come in after school and they are always moving around too much in the chair. It makes the job harder but we manage. The smell of the shaving cream stays in the air all day. It is a simple life here in Jaipur 302021. We just open the doors, wait for the regulars, and do the work. It’s a good neighborhood to be in and we have been here for quite some time now.
