Indus Crafts & Apparels

Our place, Indus Crafts & Apparels, is located at H-104 on the second floor in the RIICO industrial area of Mansarovar. Being in an industrial zone means it’s all business around here. You’ll see trucks and tempos moving in and out all day long. The roads can be a bit bumpy, especially after it rains, but it’s a good spot for what we do. The second floor stays quite warm during the summer months, so we have a few big fans that never stop. It’s a large, open space filled with piles of cloth and different types of apparel we are working on. There isn't much in the way of furniture except for the long work tables and the stools we sit on. We don't spend money on fancy paint or nice rugs because this is a workshop, not a showroom. We get our hands dirty and we work hard to keep up with the schedule. It’s a noisy environment with the machines running and people calling out to each other across the floor. We usually have lunch together in a small corner we’ve cleared out. It’s a very straightforward way of working. There are no meetings or mission statements hanging on the walls. We just know what needs to be done and we do it. It’s a busy life, and the days go by pretty fast when there is a lot to finish. We just keep moving.
