Heena & Handicrafts

Our shop is right on M.I. Road, near the B.S.N.L. building and across from the G.P.O. It is a very busy spot, so there is always a lot of honking and people rushing by outside our door. We deal with all kinds of handicrafts, which means the shop is usually stuffed to the ceiling with items. It’s a bit of a maze once you step inside. We have been here for a long time, and we know most of the other people running shops on this street. Sometimes when it’s quiet, we just stand out front and chat with the neighbors. M.I. Road has changed quite a bit over the years, but we have stayed pretty much the same. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology here; we still write most of our sales down in a big ledger book. It feels more solid that way. People come in looking for things for their houses, and we just let them browse at their own pace. We aren’t the type to follow you around the store. It is a family-run place, so you might see one of us eating lunch in the corner or a relative stopping by to say hello. It isn't a polished shop like the ones in the mall, but it has a lot of character. We just keep doing our thing and hope for the best.
