You can find us over on Amer Road, right in Mahaveer Colony. We are basically opposite the Hotel Holiday Inn, which makes it easier for people to find the place since the streets around Old Ram Garh Road can get a bit confusing. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, from small wooden carvings to larger pieces that take up a lot of room. It smells like old wood and maybe a bit of polish in here. Being on the way to the fort means there is always a lot of noise from the street—horns honking and people shouting. I spend a lot of my time just dusting the shelves because the road brings in so much grit. It’s a bit of a never-ending task. We don’t have a massive staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Some of the stuff has been sitting on the higher shelves for a long time, while other things go out the door pretty fast. We try to keep the piles organized, but sometimes it just looks like a lot of clutter. People come in and poke around, looking at the patterns and the colors. We don't follow them around or anything; we just let them look. It’s a simple business, really. We buy things, we show them to people, and we hope the traffic isn't too bad when we have to go home.
