Hari Om Mobile Repairing Centre

Indira Bazar is a loud place and our shop, Hari Om Mobile Repairing Centre, is right in the middle of it at F-36A. If you know the area, you know it's full of shops selling all kinds of electronics and spare parts. We focus mostly on fixing things that people have broken. My desk is usually covered in tiny screws, tweezers, and magnifying glasses. It’s a bit of a mess, but I know where everything is even if it doesn't look like it. People bring in phones that have fallen in water or screens that look like spiderwebs after a crash. Sometimes we can fix them in an hour, other times we have to wait days for a specific part to come from across town. We don't have a lot of space for people to sit, so they usually stand around or go get some tea nearby while they wait for us to finish. My brother helps with the software side of things while I handle the hardware repairs. We get a lot of walk-ins because of our location in F-36A. It’s a lot of work on your eyes, staring at those small circuits all day long. We try to be honest about what can be fixed and what is just junk that needs to be thrown away. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk to the other shopkeepers nearby. It’s a tight community in Indira Bazar. We’ve been doing this for a long time and we don't plan on changing much.
