If you go down Sai Baba Road in Mansarovar, you will find Hari OM Mobile Repairing Center. It’s a small shop filled with tools, screens, and tiny screws. Most of the time we are hunched over a workbench with a magnifying glass trying to fix a cracked screen or a battery that won’t charge. Phones these days are so fragile and people drop them all the time. We see a lot of water damage too. We don't have a big fancy waiting room with chairs. Usually, people just drop their phone off and come back later or they stand there and watch us work if it’s a quick fix. We keep a lot of spare parts for the common brands, but sometimes we have to wait for a part to arrive from the market across town. It can be frustrating when a repair takes longer than we thought, but some of these motherboards are very tricky to deal with. The shop can look a bit messy with all the wires and old phone casings lying around, but we have our own system. We’ve been fixing mobiles here for quite a while now. We learned mostly by doing it every day. It’s just us working here, so you talk directly to the person fixing your phone. We don't use big words to explain things. We just tell you if it can be fixed and how much it’ll cost to get it back in your hand.
