Our workshop is located at 25 Mansarovar Sumer Nagar, right on New Sanganer Road. It’s a busy part of town, but we’ve been here long enough that we don’t notice the traffic much anymore. Hari Handicraft isn’t a large corporation. We are just a small group of people who enjoy working with our hands. The floor is usually covered in dust and wood scraps, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of our items are just stacked up where there’s room. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded, especially when we have a lot of orders to get through. We don’t use a lot of high-tech machinery. We prefer doing things the old-fashioned way, even if it takes a bit longer. It feels more real that way. We don’t have a team of people to answer phones or write emails. Usually, if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. We’ve seen many businesses come and go on New Sanganer Road, but we just keep doing what we know. It’s not always easy work, and the heat in the summer can be tough in the shop. Still, we show up every morning and get back to it. This is just what we do to make a living here in Sumer Nagar.
