Gungun Beauty Parlor

Gungun Beauty Parlor is right there on Shyam Marg in Shastri Nagar, just opposite Star Mention. It is not a very big place, just a couple of chairs and mirrors where we spend most of our day. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun because Jaipur gets really hot in the summer months. Most people living around C-88 know us by now. We don’t do anything too fancy here, just the usual hair cutting, threading, and sometimes a bit of skin work when someone has a wedding to attend. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast so we are always sweeping it up. Sometimes the fan makes a little noise but it keeps the air moving. We get a lot of ladies from the neighborhood who come in to chat as much as they come to get their hair done. It’s a loud place on Saturdays because everyone wants to look good for the weekend. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for a while. We know how most of our regulars like their hair without them even saying it. If you walk past the Star Mention building, you will see our door. It stays open mostly to let a breeze in. We just try to get the job done and keep things simple for everyone who walks in.
