Guddi Hair Dresser

Guddi Hair Dresser is right on NH 8 in Kotputli. We are very close to the Raghunath Pura Bus Stand, so there’s always a lot of movement. You can hear the conductors shouting destinations all day long. This is a small spot where people stop while waiting for their bus. We have two chairs and they are usually occupied. The floor is concrete and we try to sweep it often because of all the boots coming in from the highway. There’s a big jug of water in the corner for anyone who is thirsty. The heat can be quite a lot in the summer, but we have a ceiling fan that works okay. We don't have any big posters or bright lights. It’s just a place for a haircut. Sometimes travelers come in looking a bit tired and they leave feeling a bit fresher after a shave. We see people from all over, not just Kotputli. The road is always loud with trucks and cars going towards Delhi or Jaipur. We’ve been here at this bus stand location for quite some time now. My younger brother helps me out in the afternoons when the schools let out. We don’t use any expensive oils or creams, just what you find in any local market. It’s a practical shop for practical people. The door doesn't close all the way, but it doesn't really matter much. We just keep the scissors moving and the customers happy with a simple cut.
