Gottam Mobile Point & Music Collection

Gottam Mobile Point & Music Collection started quite a few years back here at A -270 in Old Vidiyadhar Nagar. It was mostly music back then, lots of cassettes and CDs cluttering the counters, but things changed and now it is mostly mobile phones and repair stuff. The shop is right in Indira Bazar, so it stays pretty busy with people walking by. Some days the sun hits the front glass just right and it gets hot inside, so we keep the fan running all day long. My cousin helps out when the music side gets busy or someone needs a memory card filled with songs. We have these old racks that still hold some of the old music stuff because I just haven't had the heart to throw them out. It’s a small space but we make it work with all the chargers and cables hanging from the walls. People from around the neighborhood stop in just to say hello or ask about a new phone they saw on TV. It is just a regular shop where we try to keep things organized but sometimes the repair desk gets messy with all the tiny screws and tools. Vidiyadhar Nagar has changed a lot since we opened but we are still here in the same spot doing what we do every day. Sometimes we stay open a bit late if someone is coming from far away to pick up a phone we fixed. That's just how it goes here in the market. We like it that way.
