Gold Star Hair Arts

Gold Star Hair Arts is located at shop number 176 in Chandi Ki Taksal. We are right in Kanwar Nagar, very close to the Kale Hanuman Ji Ka Mandir. It is a historic part of Jaipur and it stays busy all day. Our shop is a bit old-fashioned. We have high ceilings and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon. We have the usual stuff like combs, scissors, and spray bottles sitting on the counters. People find us because they are visiting the temple or just living in the area. It is a narrow shop, so you have to watch your step when you walk in. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and see who is free to help you. The noise from the market outside is always there. We keep a radio playing sometimes to drown it out. It is a no-nonsense kind of place. We spend most of our day standing on our feet. The mirrors are large and show every bit of the work we do. We don't do anything complicated here. It is just haircuts and shaves for the people passing through or the regulars. Sometimes we close a bit early if it's a big festival day at the temple. It is a local business run by local people. We have seen the neighborhood change over the years while we stayed the same.
