Gold & Silver Creation

If you walk down Bhatton Ki Gali, you’ll see how crowded it gets with everyone trying to move their carts and bikes through. We are located on the second floor of Ganpati Chamber, right opposite the old assembly building. Gold & Silver Creation is what we do here, but it’s mostly just sitting at low benches and focusing on the metal. The air in Hawamahal Bazar is always full of noise from the tourists and the shops downstairs. Being on the second floor helps us get away from some of that, though the stairs are quite narrow and a bit steep if you’re carrying heavy bags. We’ve been in this spot for a good while now. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to move everything out of the way. It’s a small space, so you have to be careful where you step so you don’t knock over a tray or a stool. We don't have a showroom or anything shiny to look at. It’s just us and the tools. Usually, we start early before the sun gets too hot and work until the street lights come on outside. Sometimes we forget to eat lunch because we’re trying to finish a specific piece. It’s not an easy job, but it’s what we’ve always done in this part of town. The guys usually take a break around four to get some snacks.
