If you go down Bagruvalo Ka Rasta in the Chandpole Bazar area, you’ll find us. This part of Jaipur is very old and the lanes are quite narrow. It’s a crowded place with lots of shops selling all sorts of things, and we are tucked away in one of those spots. Gitanjali Hair Art has been part of this neighborhood for quite some time. It’s not a place with a lot of space, but we make it work. Most of our customers are people who work in the bazaar or live in the old houses nearby. You can hear the sounds of the market all day long while we are working. It’s a very traditional kind of setup here. We don't have any of those modern gadgets you see in the malls. It’s just shears, combs, and razors. The walls have some old pictures on them, and the mirrors have seen a lot of faces over the years. People stop by to chat as much as they do to get a haircut. It feels like a small community in this street. We see the same people every month. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the wind blowing through the bazar, but that's just how the old city is. We open up the shutters every morning and wait for the first customer to walk in from the street. It’s just an honest, local business in the heart of Chandpole.
