Girdhari Hair Dresser

Girdhari Hair Dresser is located out in Kotputli, right at the Pragpura Mod near Paota. Being at a crossroads like that means we see all sorts of people. Some are locals from the village areas and some are just passing through on the way to other places. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but it’s where I spend all my time. It can get dusty being near the road, so I’m always wiping down the chairs and the counter. We have some basic tools, nothing too high-tech. I usually have the radio playing low in the background while I work. People come in with their hair all messy from the wind or the heat, and they leave looking a bit more put together. My family has been in this area for a long time. In Kotputli, everyone kind of knows everyone else, or at least they know whose son you are. It’s a simple life out here at the Mod. I don’t use any fancy products or have big signs. It’s just Girdhari Hair Dresser, a place to get a haircut and maybe sit for a minute to rest. The lights flicker sometimes when the power is weak, but we just keep going. I like the routine of it. Every day is pretty much the same, and that’s fine with me. We aren't trying to be anything we are not, just a regular spot for a trim and a chat.
