Gayatri Handicrafts

Gayatri Handicrafts is tucked away at 18, Kirti Nagar, Shyam Nagar. It’s a pretty quiet spot compared to the big main markets in the center of town. We started out in just one small room and slowly filled the whole place up with different bits and pieces we’ve collected over the years. My brother and I run things day to day. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy to get people's attention. Usually, it's just the sound of us moving boxes around or cleaning the shelves. We get a lot of neighbors coming in just to chat for a bit, which is nice. The items we have aren't mass-produced in some big factory; most are made by hands we actually know personally. Sometimes the floor is a bit cluttered because a new delivery arrived and we haven't put it away yet. We try to keep it tidy, but the work often gets ahead of us. This part of the city is a nice place to be based. We've been here for several years now and know almost everyone on the block. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just open the doors in the morning and see who comes by. If you need something specific, we might have it in a box somewhere. It takes a bit of looking sometimes but we usually find it eventually if we look hard enough.
