Gayatri Handicraft Overseas

We are over at G-112 in the Sitapura Industrial Estate, just off Tonk Road. Gayatri Handicraft Overseas has been operating from this unit for quite some time now. It’s a very practical space, and there is nothing too special to look at from the outside of the building. We have a lot of items piled up inside because we are always busy with something or the other. The industrial estate is a noisy place with machines running next door and people shouting to be heard over the din. We’ve got our own little corner here where we feel comfortable. We spend our days mostly looking at the items we’re preparing to send away. It takes a lot of time to make sure every piece is okay. There are about ten of us working here on a regular basis. Some of the guys have been with us since we first opened the doors. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the work while we are sitting around. The traffic on Tonk Road is usually a total mess, so we try to schedule our pickups for the early morning. It’s a regular industrial life and we don't complain about it much. We aren’t trying to be anything fancy or impressive. We just make the handicrafts and handle all the necessary paperwork. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait. That is just how it is here.
