You can find us over in Shilp Colony in the Jhotwara area. Our workshop is in a building called Gopi Sadan. This part of town is full of people making things with their hands, and we are just one of those small setups. We have been doing handicraft work here for a while, mostly using wood and some paints. It is a family-run business, so you will usually find a few of us working in the back room surrounded by shavings and tools. It gets pretty crowded in there because we never seem to have enough shelf space for everything we finish. The air always smells like fresh timber and wood polish, which is something you get used to after the first week. We don't have a big store with glass windows like you see in the main city markets. Most of the time, we are just busy making orders for other shops or for people who know where to find us in the colony. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but people still manage to find their way here. We prefer using hand tools for the detail work because it gives everything a different look than what a machine makes. It takes more time and sometimes our hands get tired, but it feels better to do it that way. We aren't trying to be a massive company, just trying to keep the tradition going and earn an honest living.
