Out here at A-238-G on VKIA Road No 9 A, the atmosphere is very industrial. This part of Jaipur is all about big trucks and warehouses. We spend our time managing the stock we have in the godown. It is a lot of metal and heavy items, so there is always the sound of things clanking around. The road outside is usually full of potholes and the dust never really settles. We have a small office section where we handle the paperwork, but most of the time we are out on the floor checking the inventory. It is not a place where you come for a fancy shopping experience. It is a working man's area. We deal with a lot of different people coming in to pick up supplies for their own businesses. Sometimes the orders are big and we have to spend the whole day loading up a truck. Other days are a bit more relaxed and we can tidy up the shelves. The heat in the summer gets quite bad inside the shed because of the tin roof, but we have some fans going to keep us moving. We don't worry too much about the decor or how things look to the public. As long as we have what the customers need and the numbers match up at the end of the day, we are satisfied. It is just basic trading and keeping things moving in the industrial zone.
