Ganesham Textiles Handicrafts

Ganesham Textiles Handicrafts is located right on Amer Road in the Govind Nagar West area. If you are standing opposite Dushera Kothi, you can see us. It’s a lively spot because of all the tourists heading up to the fort. The road is always busy and there is a lot of dust in the air from the passing cars. Inside, we have a lot of fabric and different handmade things scattered about. We don't have those fancy display cases you see in the malls. Everything is just sort of stacked where it fits. Sometimes we spend half the morning just folding things that got messed up the day before. The light comes in really bright in the morning which is nice. We’ve had this space for a while and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to stop working. My cousin helps out sometimes when things get really hectic. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. The neighbors are good people and we often chat outside when the sun starts to go down. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a regular place where we do our business every day. Some days we have a lot of people coming in and other days it’s just us and the radio. We just take it as it comes.
