Gambhir Handicrafts is located in Dhula House right in the middle of Bapu Bazar. It’s a bit of a maze in here with all the different shops, but we’ve been in this spot long enough to know our way around. The space is filled with things made of wood, brass, and fabric. It’s not a polished showroom like you might see in a mall. Instead, it’s a bit cramped and things are often stacked one on top of another. We spend our days sorting through new items and talking to the people who make them. Bapu Bazar is always loud with the sounds of bargaining and horns, but inside Dhula House, it’s a little bit quieter. We don't bother with fancy advertisements or big slogans. Usually, people just find us while they’re exploring the bazar. We spend a lot of time wrapping things up in old paper to make sure they don’t get scratched. The walls haven't been painted in years, and the old ceiling fan makes a clicking sound, but it gets the job done. We drink tea several times a day and talk to the other shopkeepers nearby. It’s a slow and steady kind of work. We aren't trying to build an empire; we just like what we do here in our corner of the market. Dealing with the daily crowd in the bazar is just part of the job.
